RETAINED SEARCH PARTNER: Falcon Partners 

SEARCH MANDATE: Our private equity client is seeking the right Chief Financial Officer to lead one of its portfolio companies, a contract manufacturing business. The sponsor is bullish about its investment thesis in this acquired platform. They are prepared to invest heavily to drive the company's scale using both inorganic and organic methods. 

COMPENSATION: A competitive salary, annual bonus, and wealth-building equity grant make for a compelling economic opportunity. 

THE COMPANY: 

  • Business Model: Multi-site contract manufacturing; regulated end markets. 
  • Revenue Range: Mid-market. 
  • Hold Period: Exit planned for 2028. 
  • Deal Structure: Control buyout. 

INVESTMENT THESIS: Transform the business and drive scale within 2 years. 

  • Transform this entrepreneurially led company into a powerful platform business. 
  • Acquire add-ons that will add scale, product, cross-sell, and multiple arbitrage. 

THE SPONSOR: This private equity firm has a solid history of partnering with and scaling middle market businesses. The firm invests both debt and equity and adds value through add-on acquisitions, operational improvements, and go-to-market strategy execution. 

CANDIDATE PROFILE: We seek a passionate, committed leader with a contagious will to win who can honor this company's past while also leading it into the future. Our ideal candidate's background most likely includes: 

  • Business Model: Multi-site contract manufacturing; regulated end markets. 
  • Functional: Top financial leader of a sub $100mm manufacturing company.  
  • Orientation: Strong accounting orientation is required with related experience across FP&A, cost accounting, and operations. 
  • Private Equity: Highly preferred. 
  • M&A: Solid integration experience required. 
  • Tenure: 10+ years of progressive career success.
