SEARCH MANDATE: Our private equity client is seeking the right Chief Financial Officer to lead one of its portfolio companies, an engineering services business. The sponsor is bullish about its investment thesis in this newly acquired platform. They are prepared to invest heavily to drive the company's scale using both inorganic and organic methods.

INVESTMENT THESIS: Transform the business and drive scale to roughly $100mm within 4-5 years. 

• Build core financial infrastructure and reporting from the ground up. 
• Lead financial due diligence on acquisitions already in process and on further add-on activity. 
• Act as a hands-on builder, personally standing up systems and processes rather than delegating. 

THE SPONSOR: This California-based private equity firm has a solid history of scaling businesses. Its sector specialties include power management, electrification, and infrastructure. 

CANDIDATE PROFILE: We seek a passionate, committed leader with a contagious will to win who can honor this company's past while also leading it into the future. Our ideal candidate's background most likely includes: 

• Business Model: Engineering Services
• Functional: Top financial leader of a $5mm-$40mm engineering services company OR number two financial leader within a larger enterprise responsible for $20mm-$100mm in revenue 
• Orientation: Heavy finance and accounting orientation is required with related experience across percentage-of-completion accounting, financial reporting and P&L ownership 
• Private Equity: Required 
• M&A: Solid integration experience required 
• Tenure: 10-35+ years of progressive career success
