RETAINED SEARCH PARTNER: Falcon Partners 

SEARCH MANDATE: Our private equity client is seeking the right Chief Executive Officer to lead one of its portfolio companies, a manufacturing business. The sponsor is bullish about its investment thesis in this platform. They are prepared to invest heavily to drive the company's scale using both inorganic and organic methods. 

COMPENSATION: A competitive salary, annual bonus, and wealth-building equity grant make for a compelling economic opportunity. 

THE COMPANY

  • Business Model: Multi-Site Process Manufacturing 
  • End Market: B2B and B2C 
  • Revenue Range: Mid-market 
  • Deal Structure: Control buyout 

INVESTMENT THESIS: Transform the business and drive scale to roughly $30mm EBITDA within 4-5 years. 

  • Identify and execute high-confidence cost synergies, streamline manufacturing and distribution networks. 
  • Implement inventory, receivables, and payables improvements to enhance cash flow. 
  • Deploy coordinated sales playbooks, implement cross-sell strategies, and establish national account management discipline.  

THE SPONSOR: This California-based private equity firm with $1B AUM acquires and builds engineered solutions companies in the medical, life science, industrial, and aerospace & defense markets.  

CANDIDATE PROFILE: We seek a passionate, committed leader with a contagious will to win who can honor this company's past while also leading it into the future. Our ideal candidate's background most likely includes: 

  • Business Model: Process Manufacturing  
  • Functional: Top executive leader of a $150mm-$700mm manufacturing company OR number two executive leader within a larger enterprise responsible for $700mm-$1B in revenue. 
  • Orientation: Heavy operational orientation is required with strong manufacturing upbringing. 
  • Private Equity: Not required.
  • M&A: Solid integration experience required.
  • Tenure: 20-35+ years of progressive career success.
