RETAINED SEARCH PARTNER: Falcon Partners 

SEARCH MANDATE: Our private equity client is seeking the right Chief Financial Officer to lead one of its portfolio companies, a software and systems integration business. The sponsor is bullish about its investment thesis for this platform. They are prepared to invest heavily to drive the company's scale using both inorganic and organic methods. 

COMPENSATION: A competitive salary, annual bonus, and wealth-building equity grant make for a compelling economic opportunity. 

THE COMPANY: 

  • Business Model: B2B 
  • End Market: Government, healthcare, insurance, and mid-market enterprises 
  • Revenue Range: Mid-market 
  • Hold Period: 3-5 years 
  • Deal Structure: Control buyout 

INVESTMENT THESIS: Transform the business and drive scale 

  • Lead M&A integration efforts, including oversight of key systems and financial records integration 
  • Partner with the CEO and Board to drive long-range planning that supports the pivot from services-heavy revenue to high-margin, recurring SaaS/IP 

THE SPONSOR: This Atlanta-based private investment firm has a solid history of scaling businesses. Its sector specialties include business services, industrial services, niche manufacturing, tech-enabled services, transportation & logistics, consumer products & services, healthcare, and value-added distribution. 

CANDIDATE PROFILE: We seek a passionate, committed leader with a contagious will to win who can honor this company's past while also leading it into the future. Our ideal candidate's background most likely includes: 

  • Functional: Top financial leader of a software & systems integration business (CFO) or the divisional finance leader / #2 (SVP/VP Finance) at a larger business 
  • Orientation: Heavy FP&A orientation is required with related experience across finance, accounting, and operations 
  • Private Equity: Preferred 
  • M&A/Integration: Preferred 
  • Tenure: 10+ years of progressive career experience
