SEARCH MANDATE: Our private equity client is seeking the right Chief Revenue Officer to lead one of its portfolio companies, a professional services business. The sponsor is bullish about its investment thesis in this newly acquired platform. They are prepared to invest heavily to drive the company's scale using both inorganic and organic methods. 

COMPENSATION: A competitive salary, annual bonus, and wealth-building equity grant make for a compelling economic opportunity.

  • Business Model: B2B Professional Services  
  • End Market: Various B2B End Markets 
  • Revenue Range: Mid-market 
  • Hold Period: Exit planned for 2029 
  • Deal Structure: Control buyout 

INVESTMENT THESIS: Transform the business and drive scale within 2-3 years. 

  • Professionalize and centralize sales 
  • Integrate and rebrand early acquisitions 
  • Drive organic growth alongside an active add-on M&A strategy 
  • Build repeatable, metrics-driven revenue engines 

 

THE SPONSOR: This private equity firm has a solid history of scaling businesses. Its sector specialties include defense, aerospace, critical infrastructure services, industrial & medical technology, life sciences, and specialty materials. Today, the sponsor owns over 50 portfolio companies and over $10B in cumulative capital commitments. 

CANDIDATE PROFILE: We seek a passionate, committed leader with a contagious will to win who can honor this company's past while also leading it into the future. Our ideal candidate's background most likely includes: 

  • Business Model: High-volume B2B professional services 
  • Functional: Top commercial leader of a $40mm–$150mm B2B services business OR number two commercial leader within a larger organization with direct responsibility for $150mm–$400mm in revenue 
  • Orientation: Heavy sales orientation is required with complementary experience across go-to-market strategy, RevOps, pricing, building teams and commercial operations 
  • Private Equity: Preferred but not required 
  • M&A: Solid integration integrating add-on acquisitions and centralizing commercial functions required 
  • Tenure: 15-30+ years of progressive commercial leadership success
