LOCATION: Mid-Atlantic or East Coast 

RETAINED SEARCH PARTNER: Falcon Partners 

SEARCH MANDATE: Our private equity client is seeking the right Chief Information Officer to lead one of its portfolio companies, a B2B professional services business. The sponsor is bullish about its investment thesis in this newly acquired platform. They are prepared to invest heavily to drive the company's scale using both inorganic and organic methods, including a strong acquisition strategy over the next year. 

COMPENSATION: A competitive salary, annual bonus, and wealth-building equity grant make for a compelling economic opportunity. 

THE COMPANY: 

  • Business Model: Insurance brokerage and risk management services 
  • End Market: Businesses, Governments, Nonprofits, Healthcare, Private Equity  
  • Revenue Range: $200mm-$250mm 
  • Hold Period: Exit planned for 2027 
  • Deal Structure: Control buyout 

INVESTMENT THESIS: Transform the business and drive scale to roughly $300mm through acquisitions within the next year. The ideal CIO will: 

  • Transform the company’s IT organization into an integrated program 
  • Lead large scale data and implementation projects as their operating companies expand 
  • Adopt large scale CRM projects across the platform, innovating where possible 

THE SPONSOR: This Toronto-based private equity firm has a solid history of scaling businesses. Its sector specialties include financial services, healthcare services, consumer, and business services. Today the sponsor owns 8 portfolio companies. 

CANDIDATE PROFILE: We seek a passionate, committed leader with a contagious will to win who can honor this company's past while also leading it into the future. Our ideal candidate's background most likely includes: 

  • Business Model: Professional services or adjacent experience 
  • Functional: Number two IT leader within a larger enterprise of 250mm+ in revenue 
  • Orientation: Network, IT, and security orientation is required with related experience in CRM systems and large scale data implementation. Experience or knowledge with AI is not required, but favored. 
  • Private Equity: Not required 
  • Tenure: 8-10+ years of progressive career success
