SEARCH MANDATE: Our private equity client is seeking the right Chief Executive Officer to lead one of its portfolio companies, a multi-site service business. The sponsor is bullish about its investment thesis in this newly acquired platform. They are prepared to invest heavily to drive the company's scale using both inorganic and organic methods.

COMPENSATION: A competitive salary, annual bonus, and wealth-building equity grant make for a compelling economic opportunity.

THE COMPANY:

  • Business Model: Branch-based Services
  • Revenue Range: Lower Middle Market
  • Hold Period: 2-3 Years.
  • Deal Structure: Control buyout

INVESTMENT THESIS: Transform the business and drive scale.

  • Strengthen the Company’s go-to-market strategy and institute a commercial playbook to establish enterprise level clarity on priority end markets and execute end market expansion strategy
  • Lead the acquisition and subsequent integration of formerly founder-owned businesses into a unified scalable platform
  • Develop, improve and leverage best in class training to build a high performing leadership bench

THE SPONSOR: This private equity firm has a solid history of scaling businesses. Its sector specialties include aerospace, industrials, agriculture, and transportation. 

CANDIDATE PROFILE: We seek a passionate, committed leader with a contagious will to win who can honor this company's past while also leading it into the future. Our ideal candidate's background most likely includes:

  • Business Model: Distribution, Manufacturing or Multi-Site Service
  • Functional: Top commercial leader of a $100mm-250mm in revenue multi-site services company OR number two commercial leader within a larger enterprise responsible for $400mm-$750 in revenue
  • Orientation: Well-rounded P&L experience is required preferably with a depth of experience across sales, strategy, and Business Development. 
  • Private Equity: Not required
  • M&A: Solid integration experience preferred
  • Tenure: 15-25+ years of progressive career success
