RETAINED SEARCH: Our private equity client is seeking the right Head of Marketing to lead one of its portfolio companies, a B2B services business. The sponsor is bullish about its investment thesis and prepared to invest heavily to drive the company's scale. THE SPONSOR: This private equity firm has a strong track record of transforming small businesses. It invests across several key sectors including business services. The sponsor currently owns many portfolio companies and has steadily grown throughout its history.

CANDIDATE PROFILE: We seek a passionate, committed leader with a contagious will to win who can honor this company's past while also leading it into the future. Our ideal candidate's background most likely includes: 

  • Business Model: B2B services business 
  • Functional: Head of Marketing of a lower-middle-market B2B services business or key #2 of an upmarket B2B services business
  • Orientation: Digital Marketing or Demand Generation orientation is preferred
  • Private Equity: Not required
  • Tenure: 7+ years of progressive career success
