RETAINED SEARCH PARTNER: Falcon Partners

SEARCH MANDATE: Our private equity client is seeking the right Controller to lead one of its portfolio companies, a manufacturing business This role will partner with the CFO in executing the Company’s value creation plan – which includes improving sales and marketing execution to increase wallet share with existing customers and win new customers, optimizing the Company’s distribution network, expanding the product portfolio, maintaining and improving operational capabilities, and executing add-on acquisitions.

COMPENSATION: A competitive salary and annual bonus.

THE COMPANY:

·       Business Model: manufacturing

·       Revenue Range: $20-$40mm

·       Hold Period: Exit planned for 2028-2029

·       Deal Structure: Control buyout

INVESTMENT THESIS: Transform the business and drive scale to roughly $100mm within 4-5 years.

·       Transform this entrepreneurially led company into a powerful platform business.

·       Drive organic growth by enhancing operational efficiencies, expanding market presence, and optimizing financial strategies.

THE SPONSOR: This Dallas-based private equity firm has a solid history of scaling businesses. Its sector specialties include defense, aerospace, critical infrastructure services, industrial & medical technology, life sciences and specialty materials.

CANDIDATE PROFILE: We seek a highly analytical, results-driven leader with a strong cost accounting background. Our ideal candidate's background most likely includes:

·       Business Model: Manufacturing

·       Functional: Top finance leader at a lower middle market B2B company or senior finance leader within a larger enterprise.

·       Orientation: Must have strong cost accounting experience

·       Private Equity: Not required

·       M&A: Not required

·       Tenure: 5-15 years of progressive career success

·       Leadership: Ability to manage and develop a finance team of four (AP & AR professionals).
