SEARCH MANDATE: Our private equity client is seeking the right Chief Executive Officer to lead one of its portfolio companies, a multi-site services business. The sponsor is bullish about its investment thesis in this newly acquired platform. They are prepared to invest heavily to drive the company's scale using both inorganic and organic methods.  

COMPENSATION: A competitive salary, annual bonus, and wealth-building equity grant make for a compelling economic opportunity. 

THE COMPANY: 

  • Business Model: Multi-Site Service Business  
  • End Market: B2B 
  • Revenue Range: Lower Mid-Market 
  • Hold Period: Acquired in 2025  
  • Deal Structure: Control buyout 

INVESTMENT THESIS: Transform the business and dramatically scale the business over the next 4-5 years.   

  • Acquire add-ons that will add scale, product, cross-sell, and multiple arbitrage.  
  • Integrate acquisitions into the parent company.  
  • Transform this entrepreneurially led company into a scalable platform.  
  • Accelerating topline growth through investment in the sales & marketing function. 
  • Implement strategic technology upgrades  
  • Strategic pricing initiatives.   

 


THE SPONSOR: This Chicago-based private equity firm has a solid history of scaling businesses. Today, the sponsor manages approximately $1B in assets under management and has completed more than 100 platform and add-on acquisitions. 

CANDIDATE PROFILE: We seek a passionate, committed leader with a contagious will to win who can honor this company's past while also leading it into the future. Our ideal candidate's background most likely includes:   

  • Business Model: Multi-site Services     
  • Functional: CEO of a middle market multi-site company OR a key number-two within a larger enterprise 
  • OrientationCommercial orientation is preferred with related experience across marketing, strategy, and operations   
  • Private Equity: Highly preferred but not required 
  • M&A: Solid integration experience that optimizes finance, technology, operations, and culture is highly preferred   
  • Tenure20-35+ years of progressive career success
