RETAINED SEARCH PARTNER: Falcon Partners

SEARCH MANDATE: Our private equity client is seeking the right Chief Financial Officer to lead one of its portfolio companies, a Multi-Site services business. The sponsor is bullish about its investment thesis in this platform. Growth will be facilitated through both organic and acquisitive methods.

COMPENSATION: A competitive salary, annual bonus, and wealth-building equity grant make for a compelling economic opportunity.

  • End Market: FDA-regulated businesses
  • Revenue Range: Lower Middle market
  • Hold Period: Exit planned for 2027
  • Deal Structure: Control buyout

INVESTMENT THESIS: Transform the business and drive scale.

  • Improve financial systems and processes to provide a foundation for growth.
  • Continue to develop organic growth through improved forecasting and reporting.
  • Implement best practices in organizational design, process, and technology adoption.

THE SPONSORS: This private equity firm has a three-decade track record of scaling and transforming small businesses. It invests across a number of key sectors including multi-site services. The sponsor currently owns more than 100 portfolio companies and has steadily grown throughout its history. Today the sponsor has more than $13B in assets under management. It's $2.5+B of dry powder includes $1B earmarked for add-on acquisitions.

CANDIDATE PROFILE: We seek a passionate, committed leader with a contagious will to win who can honor this company's past while also leading it into the future. Our ideal candidate's background most likely includes:

  • Business Model: Multi-Site Services industry experience is required
  • Functional: Top financial leader of a lower-middle market company; or key number two financial leader of a larger investor-backed, leveraged company; or division finance leader within a blue chip, acquisitive public company
  • Orientation:  Finance and Accounting experience is required
  • Private Equity: Experience within a private equity-backed environment is highly preferred
  • M&A: Solid integration experience is highly preferred, but not required
  • Tenure: 10+ years of progressive career success
