RETAINED SEARCH PARTNER: Falcon Partners 

SEARCH MANDATE: Our private equity client is seeking the right Director of Financial Reporting to lead one of its portfolio companies, a manufacturer of mission-critical engineered components. The sponsor is bullish about its investment thesis in this newly acquired platform. They are prepared to invest heavily to drive the company's scale using both inorganic and organic methods. 

COMPENSATION: A competitive salary, annual bonus, and wealth-building equity grant make for a compelling economic opportunity.

  • Business Model: Electro-mechanical component multi-site manufacturing 
  • End Market: Aerospace & Medical  
  • Revenue Range: Mid-market 
  • Hold Period: IPO planned for 2026 
  • Deal Structure: Control buyout 

INVESTMENT THESIS: Transform the business and drive scale by being a strategic partner to the CFO and CAO. 

  • Play a key role in the future of the company, including defining the company’s financial reporting and preparing for and executing its IPO. 
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, and SOX requirements. 
  • Lead the preparation of periodic SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K), earnings releases, proxies and other regulatory reports. 

THE SPONSOR: This Southeastern-based private equity firm has a solid history of scaling businesses. Its sector specialties include defense, aerospace, materials and resources, healthcare, energy and information technology. Today the sponsor owns 20 portfolio companies and has $15B in AUM. 

CANDIDATE PROFILE: We seek a passionate, committed leader with a contagious will to win who can lead the company to its future. Our ideal candidate's background most likely includes: 

  • Business Model: Aerospace & Defense (A&D) manufacturing 
  • Functional: Top Financial Reporting leader of a $1B-$10B A&D manufacturing company OR #2 Financial Reporting leader of a $5B+ Manufacturing Company 
  • Orientation: Heavy accounting orientation is required with related experience across analytics, operations and executives 
  • Public Company: Required 
  • IPO Experience: Preferred 
  • Tenure: 10-15+ years of progressive career success
