LOCATION: Hybrid (Eastern Time Zone preferred)

SEARCH MANDATE: Our private equity client is seeking a hands-on Vice President of Corporate Development to accelerate inorganic growth for one of its portfolio companies — a multi-site B2B services platform experiencing rapid expansion.

COMPENSATION: A competitive salary, annual bonus, and wealth-building equity grant make for a compelling economic opportunity. 

THE COMPANY: 

  • Business Model: Multi-site B2B Services
  • End Market: Recurring-revenue essential services
  • Revenue Range: Mid-market 
  • Hold Period: Next 4–5 years with a planned recapitalization at exit

INVESTMENT THESIS: Build a scalable, integrated platform through a disciplined buy-and-build strategy.

  • Integrate acquired businesses to unlock synergies, standardize processes, and expand the company’s geographic reach 
  • Leverage data, compliance, and operational excellence to drive durable EBITDA growth

THE SPONSOR: A global private equity firm with a long track record of building lower-middle market businesses into category leaders. With more than $10B in committed capital across multiple fund families, the sponsor is known for its collaborative, hands-on partnership with management teams and a strong emphasis on disciplined value creation through both organic initiatives and strategic M&A.

CANDIDATE PROFILE: We seek a passionate, committed leader with a contagious will to win who can honor this company's past while also leading it into the future. Our ideal candidate's background most likely includes: 

  • Functional: Current or former corporate development leader at a PE-backed or closely held services business; investment banker seeking transition to an operating role; or originations executive within a PE fund
  • Orientation: Experience in highly fragmented, route- or branch-based B2B services markets
  • Private Equity: Required
  • M&A: Solid integration experience required
  • Tenure: 10-15+ years of progressive career success
