LOCATION: Detroit, MI 


SEARCH MANDATE: Our private equity client is seeking the right Chief People Officer to lead, develop, and professionalize the human resource function at the firm and its flagship company, an oil and gas services business.  

COMPENSATION: A competitive salary, annual bonus, and long-term incentives make for a compelling economic opportunity.

  • End Market: Oil and Gas 


  • Drive scale, efficiencies, and the continued professionalization of the company and its portfolio holdings.  

THE SPONSOR: This Detroit-based private equity firm is a diversified investor with a portfolio that includes control ownership of several portfolio companies and minority positions in other assets and securities. 

CANDIDATE PROFILE: We seek a passionate, committed leader who is hands-on and execution-focused with a strategic perspective. Our ideal candidate's background most likely includes: 

  •  Business Model: Experience in logistics, business services, energy, technology, financial services, and/or manufacturing is a plus but not required. Experience working with a blue-collar workforce is preferred.  
  • Functional: Director or VP of Human Resources in a larger organization who is ready to step into the top HR role within a fast-growing company. 
  • Orientation: We seek a well-rounded career foundation that covers a majority of HR functions including talent management, employee relations, compliance, and operations.  
  • Private Equity: Not required. 
  • Tenure: 10+ years of progressive career success
