SEARCH MANDATE: Our private equity client is seeking the right Chief Financial Officer to lead one of its portfolio companies, a value-add distribution business. The sponsor is bullish about its investment thesis in this newly acquired platform. They are prepared to invest heavily to drive the company's scale using both inorganic and organic methods.

COMPENSATION: A competitive salary, annual bonus, and wealth-building equity grant make for a compelling economic opportunity.

THE COMPANY:

·      Business Model: Value-Add Distribution

·      End Market: B2B

·      Revenue Range: $75-100mm

·      Hold Period: Exit planned for 2030

·      Deal Structure: Control buyout

INVESTMENT THESIS: Transform the business and drive scale ahead of exit.

·      Integrate and rebrand the acquisitions made under this holding company

·      Transform this entrepreneurially led company into a powerful platform business.

·      Acquire add-ons that will add scale, product, cross-sell, and multiple arbitrage.

THE SPONSOR: This Chicago-based private equity firm has a solid history of scaling businesses. Today the sponsor owns 18 portfolio companies and has $4.3B in cumulative capital commitments.

CANDIDATE PROFILE: We seek a passionate, committed leader with a contagious will to win who can honor this company's past while also leading it into the future. Our ideal candidate's background most likely includes:

·      Business Model: Value-Add Distribution

·      Functional: Top finance leader of a $75mm-$100mm distribution company OR number two finance leader within a larger enterprise responsible for $250-00mm in revenue

·      Orientation: Early accounting and finance experience is required

·      Private Equity: Required

·      M&A: Solid integration experience required

·      Tenure: 20-35+ years of progressive career success
