LOCATION: Remote 

RETAINED SEARCH PARTNER: Falcon Partners 

SEARCH MANDATE: Our private equity client is seeking the right Chief Revenue Officer to lead one of its portfolio companies, a B2B Professional Services business. The sponsor is bullish about its investment thesis in this newly acquired platform. They are prepared to invest heavily to drive the company's scale using both inorganic and organic methods. 

COMPENSATION: A competitive salary, annual bonus, and wealth-building equity grant make for a compelling economic opportunity. 

THE COMPANY: 

  • Business Model: B2B Professional Services  
  • End Market: SMB 
  • Revenue Range: Mid-market 
  • Hold Period: Exit planned for 2029 
  • Deal Structure: Control buyout 

INVESTMENT THESIS: Transform the business and drive scale to roughly $70mm within 3-4 years. 

  • Assess, refine, and formalize the company’s GTM strategy by region and vertical. 
  • Work closely with all existing branches and add-on acquisition business units to drive repeatable organic growth. 
  • Develop and maintain relationships between prospective and current customers, as well as executives within the industry. 
  • Partner closely with the service delivery organization to deliver on cross-sell/up-sell initiatives with existing customers.  

THE SPONSOR: This Connecticut-based private equity firm has a solid history of scaling businesses. Its sector specialties include residential and facilities services, outsourced and professional services, and sustainability. Today the sponsor owns 24 portfolio companies and has $940mm+ in cumulative capital commitments. 

CANDIDATE PROFILE: We seek a passionate, committed leader with a contagious will to win who can honor this company's past while also leading it into the future. Our ideal candidate's background most likely includes: 

  • Business Model: B2B Professional Services 
  • Functional: Top commercial leader of a $30mm-$75mm B2B services company OR number two commercial leader within a larger company responsible for $75mm-$300mm in revenue 
  • Orientation: Heavy sales orientation is required with related experience across marketing, strategy, and operations 
  • Private Equity: Highly preferred  
  • M&A: Solid integration experience required 
  • Tenure: 15-35+ years of progressive career success
