LOCATION: Remote 

RETAINED SEARCH PARTNER: Falcon Partners 

SEARCH MANDATE: We have been retained by a leading private equity firm to find a talented and highly motivated leader to serve as CFO for a multi-site health and wellness provider.

Reporting directly to the CEO, and indirectly to the Board of Directors, the CFO will be responsible for all aspects of financial accounting and reporting as a senior leadership team member responsible for driving business strategy and profit growth. The CFO will be challenged to lead as a "player/coach" with a highly entrepreneurial "roll up your sleeves" approach.

COMPENSATION: A competitive salary, annual bonus, and wealth-building equity grant make for a compelling economic opportunity.

  • Revenue Range: Lower middle market
  • Hold Period: Exit planned for the next 2-4 years
  • Deal Structure: Control buyout

  • Improve financial systems and processes to provide a foundation for growth.
  • Continue to develop organic growth through improved forecasting and reporting.
  • Implement best practices in organizational design, process, and technology adoption.

THE SPONSOR: This New York, NY-based private equity firm has a three-decade track record of transforming small businesses. It invests across several key sectors and currently owns more than 100 portfolio companies. Today the sponsor has more than $13B in assets under management. Its $2.5+B of dry powder includes $1B earmarked for add-on acquisitions.

CANDIDATE PROFILE: We seek an enthusiastic, committed leader with a contagious will to win and an insistent desire to improve the business. Our ideal candidate's background most likely includes:

  • Business Model: Health care multi-site services experience is highly preferred. 
  • Functional: Top financial leader of a lower middle market company OR a number two financial leader within a larger enterprise.
  • Orientation: Accounting and FP&A experience is required. 
  • Private Equity: Experience within a private equity-backed environment is highly preferred.
  • Turnaround: Solid turnaround experience is required.
  • Tenure: 15+ years of progressive career success.
