SEARCH MANDATE: Our private equity client is seeking the right Chief Operating Officer to lead one of its portfolio companies and drive profitability within the business. They are prepared to invest heavily to drive the company's scale using both inorganic and organic methods.

COMPENSATION: A competitive salary, annual bonus, and wealth-building equity grant make for a compelling economic opportunity.

  • Revenue Range: $50-100mm
  • Deal Structure: Full LBO

INVESTMENT THESIS: Transformative growth through a combination of organic and inorganic methods.

  • Integrate and rebrand the first 11 acquisitions made under this holding company.
  • Continue driving organic growth across the platform through enhanced customer relationships.
  • Additional buy-side investment that will provide scale, product, cross-sell, and multiple arbitrage opportunities.

THE SPONSOR: This private equity firm has a three-decade track record of transforming small businesses. It invests across several key sectors and owns over 150 portfolio companies. Today the sponsor has more than $14B in assets under management. Its $2.5B of dry powder includes $1B ear marked for add-on acquisitions.

CANDIDATE PROFILE: We seek a passionate, committed leader with a contagious will to win who can honor this company's past while also leading it into the future. Our ideal candidate's background most likely includes:

  • Functional: Top operational leader of a $50mm-$250mm multi-site services company OR number two operational leader within a larger enterprise responsible for $100mm-$500mm in revenue
  • Orientation: Operationally focused leaders with strong career trajectories
  • M&A: Integration experience highly preferred
  • Tenure: 15-35+ years of progressive career success
