LOCATION: Remote 

RETAINED SEARCH PARTNER: Falcon Partners 

SEARCH MANDATE: Our private equity client is seeking the right operational leader to drive scale and efficiency at one of its portfolio companies, a high-growth distribution business. The sponsor is highly optimistic about its investment thesis and is committed to significant growth through both organic expansion and strategic acquisitions. 

COMPENSATION: A competitive salary, annual bonus, and wealth-building equity grant make for a compelling economic opportunity. 

THE COMPANY: 

  • Business Model: Multi-location distribution  
  • End Market: Construction 
  • Revenue Range: $600mm-$1B 
  • Hold Period: Exit planned within 2-3 years. 
  • Deal Structure: Control buyout 

INVESTMENT THESIS: Transform the business and drive scale, culminating in a successful liquidity event within 2-3 years. 

  • Enhance operational efficiency, leverage best practices, and modernize systems. 
  • Solidify the company's leadership position in its sector through innovation and exceptional customer service. 

THE SPONSOR: This private equity firm, headquartered in the United States, specializes in scaling lower middle-market businesses. Its portfolio spans industries such as industrial distribution, healthcare, manufacturing, and technology-enabled services. With $4B in cumulative capital commitments and a proven track record of driving transformation, the sponsor currently manages a portfolio of 15+ companies. 

CANDIDATE PROFILE: We seek a passionate, committed leader with a contagious will to win who can honor this company's past while also leading it into the future. Our ideal candidate's background most likely includes: 

  • Functional: Senior operations executive in a $500M–$1B distribution or logistics business. 
  • Private Equity: Experience in a PE-backed environment preferred but not required. 
  • M&A: Strong integration and systems experience, including ERP optimization. 
  • Tenure: 15+ years of progressive career success in operations and supply chain leadership roles.
