SEARCH MANDATE: Reporting directly to the CEO, the VP of Corporate Development will be responsible for conducting financial analysis and modelling, investment decision making, transaction due diligence and closings. The VP will take on significant responsibility for the growth of this fast-paced company. A versatile and challenging position, this role combines: managing industry-specific business leads and an active acquisition portfolio; critical external relationship management; financial analysis and financial modelling; post-acquisition integration; and coordination with legal and operations and other projects as assigned.

INVESTMENT THESIS:
· Evaluate potential acquisition opportunities and prepare financial and business analyses to support investment recommendations to the executive team.
· Build relationships with ownership and key stakeholders of acquisition targets to enable future transactions and referral opportunities.
· Own and manage the daily acquisition pipeline and transaction lifecycle from start to finish.
· Synthesize and articulate key findings as appropriate for senior management and the board of directors.
· Conduct financial analysis and develop detailed financial models including projections, valuation, and investment return analysis.
THE SPONSOR: This private equity firm utilizes a long-term investment philosophy and sector-focused strategy to partner with founders and management teams to help build exceptional businesses and create attractive returns for investors. Their primary focus is investing in service businesses within the Healthcare, Financial, and Consumer verticals in North America. They will work in partnership with the Unison leadership team as it accelerates the platform’s organic and transactional growth strategies.

· Business Model: Financial Services/Insurance Brokerages
· Functional: VP of Corporate Development leader of a $100mm-$350mm Financial Services company OR Director of Corporate Development within a larger enterprise responsible for $500mm-$750mm in revenue
· Orientation: Heavy M&A experience is required with related experience across general finance/FP&A
