LOCATION: Cleveland, OH (travel to the Midwest and Northeast is required)


SEARCH MANDATE: Our private equity client is seeking the right CEO to lead one of its portfolio companies, a highly technical multi-site manufacturing business. The sponsor is bullish about its investment thesis and prepared to invest heavily to drive the company's scale.

COMPENSATION: A competitive salary, annual bonus, and wealth-building equity grant make for a compelling economic opportunity. 


  • Business Model: Multi-site, precision manufacturer
  • End Market: Health & beauty, food & beverage, and pharmaceuticals
  • Revenue Range: Middle market
  • Hold Period: Exit planned in the next 4-5 years 
  • Deal Structure: Control buyout 

INVESTMENT THESIS: Transform the business and drive scale. 

  • Integrate and multiple acquisitions as part of a buy-and-build strategy. 
  • Harness the scale of this company to help it more than double.
  • Expand the TAM through new products and geographies

THE SPONSOR: This Chicago-based private equity firm invests in middle-market companies experiencing significant changes in their markets, operations, or capital structure. The sponsor’s deep operating experience allows the firm to collaborate with management teams to capitalize on business and market opportunities. With over $5B in assets under management, the firm has established a successful track record investing in diverse industries, including industrials, manufacturing, healthcare, and business services.

CANDIDATE PROFILE: We seek a passionate, committed leader with a contagious will to win and who can honor this company's past while also leading it into the future. Our ideal candidate's background most likely includes: 

  • Business Model: Precision manufacturing in multiple facilities 
  • Functional: CEO of a similar-sized manufacturing company OR COO or President within a larger enterprise
  • Orientation: Mix of operational and commercial background is required
  • Private Equity: Highly preferred
  • M&A: Solid integration experience required 
  • Tenure: 20-35+ years of progressive career success
