LOCATION: Remote  


SEARCH MANDATE: Our private equity client is seeking the right Vice President of Marketing to lead one of its portfolio companies, a SaaS business. The sponsor is bullish about its investment thesis and is prepared to invest heavily to drive the company's scale using both inorganic and organic methods.  

COMPENSATION: A competitive salary, annual bonus, and wealth-building equity grant make for a compelling economic opportunity.  


  • Business Model: SaaS 
  • End Market: Energy and Industrial 
  • Revenue Range: $20mm-$100mm  
  • Hold Period: 5 years  
  • Deal Structure: Leveraged buyout  


  • Organic growth via net new logos
  • Acquire add-ons that will add scale, product, cross-sell, and multiple arbitrage  
  • Install operational excellence to increase EBITDA margin prior to exit  

THE SPONSOR: This SaaS-focused private equity firm is a leader that invests in the lower middle market. The fund leverages time-tested systems, processes, and methodologies to transform small companies into market leaders. 

CANDIDATE PROFILE: We seek a passionate, committed leader with a contagious will to win who can honor this company's past while also leading it into the future. Our ideal candidate's background most likely includes:  

  • Business Model: B2B SaaS  
  • Functional: VP Marketing of a PE-backed, lower middle market company; or key Senior Director level marketing leader of an upmarket business.  
  • Orientation: Demand generation, ABM, and team leadership 
  • Private Equity: Preferred 
  • Tenure: 15+ years of marketing experience and 5+ years in a leadership role developing and managing a team of 10+ direct reports.
